Featured fencer

Ian Clifton
Ian started fencing at MTFC after his parents looked for sports that are good for tall kids. He convinced his good friend, Kingsley, to join him for the four week introductory class with Coach Kim. Both Ian and Kingsley enjoyed the class and continued on to more classes with Coach Kim. Ian now fences epee and has earned his E rating.

You’ll see him around the club in one of Coach Kim’s classes or at MTFC tournaments or other regional tournaments.

“Epee is awesome. I’m interested in starting a fencing club at my high school,” says Ian when asked about his plans for the upcoming year.

MTFC had medallists at the 2026 summer nationals placing 8th in Womens Vet 60 Epee and 7th in Division 2 Womens Epee. Congratulations to the medallists and everyone in attendance representing MTFC!
